Noctuna ("the app") is a children's bedtime-story app developed and published by Satheesh Mankulam ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information.
We do not collect any personal information. Noctuna does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
Any content you create or settings you choose — such as custom stories you write, favourite stories, and your sound preferences — are saved only on your own device using local storage. This information never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us or any third party, and is not accessible to us. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted.
Noctuna reads stories aloud using your device's own built-in Text-to-Speech engine. This processing happens entirely on your device and offline. Story text is not sent to us or to any external server for narration.
Noctuna contains no advertisements and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. We do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any similar technologies.
Noctuna is designed to be family-friendly and safe for children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children. The app includes a simple parental gate to keep certain sections (such as external links to other apps) accessible to grown-ups only. We comply with children's privacy principles, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families Policy.
The "For Parents" section may contain links to other apps by the same developer on the Google Play Store. Selecting a link opens the Google Play Store, which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of the Google Play Store or other services.
Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data for us to lose or expose. All app content remains under your control on your own device.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
